Chunky Ribbed Headband Free Crochet Pattern

Materials:
Bulky weight yarn (approximately 50-60 yards)
8 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors
Gauge:
8 stitches and 6 rows = 4" in double crochet rib stitch pattern
Finished size:
Approximately 4.5" wide and 19" in circumference (unstretched)
Stitch Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Dc: Double crochet
Fpdc: Front post double crochet
Bpdc: Back post double crochet
Pattern:
Note: The headband is worked in the round, without turning.
Ch 8, join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 2, dc in each ch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the first dc. (8 dc)
Round 2: Ch 2, *fpdc around the next dc, bpdc around the next dc; repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the first fpdc. (4 fpdc, 4 bpdc)
Rounds 3-8: Repeat Round 2.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
